Deposit Limits

Deposit limits allow you to limit the amount of funds you can deposit into the account. The amount can be chosen over a daily, weekly or monthly period. The deposit limit will allow you to restrict the amount of money entering your account, before betting takes place on any part of the site.

How do I set deposit limits?

If you have an account you can set or manage your deposit limits by logging into your Betfair account and going into the ‘My Account’ section. From here you can click on ‘Player Protection’ then 'Overrall Limits' and ‘Deposit Limits’.

Loss Limits

Betfair offers a selection of products such as Sports betting, Poker, Casino, Games, Arcade and Multiplayer Games and we recognise that you may wish to limit your betting differently across these types of product. Therefore we offer you the option to set Loss limits solely on an individual product or a global loss limit which will take into account betting across Sports, Poker, Arcade and Multiplayer Games. However this does not presently include Casino and Exchange Games. Loss limits allow you to limit the amount of funds you can lose over a given period. For the Global loss limit you can choose the amount you wish to set over a weekly, monthly or yearly period and for the Product loss limit you can choose to set it over a daily, weekly, montly or yearly period.

  • Product specific loss limit – Will apply solely to betting on the product for which it has been set. Setting a Arcade limit of £100 Per Week will allow you to lose only £100 in a week for Arcade, but you are able to continue betting on other products such as Casino or Sports. Product specific loss limits are available for Classic Poker, Arcade and Multiplayer Games.
  • Global loss limit – Will take into account losses across Classic Poker, Arcade, Multiplayer Games and Sports products. A global loss limit of £100 Per Week will allow you to lose £100 on Classic Poker, but you will be unable to continue playing Sports, Arcade and Multiplayer Games. Casino and Exchange Games do not currently have a loss limits so are not included in this global limit. But you can limit the amount of money you can transfer in order to play these games, see below. If you wish to limit your sports betting you will need to set a global limit.

How do I set loss limits?

Loss Limit for Poker Only which applies to Classic Poker

This can be set by logging into your Betfair account and going into the ‘My Account’ section. From here you can click on ‘Player Protection’ and then ‘Poker’ and Classic Poker.

Loss Limit for Arcade Only

This can be set by logging into your Betfair account and going into the ‘My Account’ section. From here you can click on ‘Player Protection’, Games section and then ‘Arcade’.

This page can also be reached by clicking on ‘My Account’ when you are within the Arcade part of the site.

 

Loss Limit for Skill, Dice and Backgammon Only

This can be set by logging into your Betfair account and going into the ‘My Account’ section.  From here you can click on ‘Player Protection’, Games section and then ‘Skill&Dice’ and Set/Edit Skill & Dice Games loss limit.

Transfer Limits

Casino, Exchange Games and New Poker products require you to move a chosen amount of money into that product before betting with those funds. You can implement a limit on the amount you are able to transfer across to these products. For all three Casino, Exchange Games and New Poker you can choose the amount for the transfer limit you wish to set. Casino and New Poker offer the option to set a tranfer limit over a daily, weekly, montly and yearly period, Exchange Games offers a daily period only.

This can be set by logging into your Betfair account and going into the ‘My Account’ section. From here you can click on ‘Player Protection’ and then ‘Casino’ and Set/Edit Casino Transfer Limit.
