Game session timers
What are Game Session Timers?
Betfair allows you to limit your session times for
games or
events that have no natural end. This gives you greater
control over your gambling. On
Betfair’s games products,
session timer technology gives you a gentle reminder about
how long
you have been playing. The reminder will appear on screen 60 minutes
after you have
placed your first bet (or after a shorter period if
selected), and will give the option to
continue playing or to exit
the gaming application.
How do I set Game Session Timers?
Exchange Games
When you begin playing Exchange Games the session
timer is set to default on
for 60minutes. If you would like to
change this you need to click on
‘Settings’
whilst playing any of the Exchange Games. You can manually
adjust
the length of time you would like.
Casino
When you begin playing Casino the session timer is set to default on for 60minutes. If you would like to change this you need to click on ‘Cashier’ whilst playing on the download Casino. Alternatively you can click on ‘My Account’ if you are playing Casino online on the Betfair site.
When in the ‘Cashier’
page, you will need to click on
‘My Account’ and
then ‘Responsible Gaming’. You can
manually
adjust the length of time you would like. You can also choose
whether the system
automatically logs you out, or displays a prompt
for you once the time has expired.
Arcade
If you would like to change your Arcade session timer you need to click on ‘My Account’ whilst playing on the Arcade part of the Betfair site. Within this page you will need to select ‘Session Timer’ in the left hand menu.
